A superb and generously proportioned George Smith sofa, after the original at March House, upholstered in rich gold strié velvet.
The sofa features deep buttoning across the seat, back and broad rolled arms, giving it the wonderfully relaxed, sculptural character for which George Smith seating is known. Raised on turned mahogany feet, it is an exceptionally comfortable and impressive piece with great presence.
The scale is particularly good, measuring over 2.5 metres wide, with a deep seat and beautifully generous arms.
